Kathryn Speer has brought a personal story to Thermography Clinic New Brunswick, a company that focuses on risk assessment and disease prevention.

The clinic, which provides infrared medical imaging of the body and scans supplement diagnostic imaging, has its head office in Salisbury. It features mobile clinic locations throughout Atlantic Canada, including Greater Moncton.

Speer, a certified clinical thermography manager, owner, and operator of the clinic, opened the facility almost a year ago after some personal health challenges.

“I have experienced first-hand the frustration of not knowing what was happening in my own body and the inability to heal myself as a result of the information I had available to me at the time,” Speer explained.

“This journey led me on a passionate search for answers and a methodology to take back the power in my own healing,” she said, adding she also lost loved ones to cancer, which may have been prevented by early detection of the disease.

After a 19-year career in the corporate world, Speer switched gears and decided to pursue her ambition to help others through non-invasive and life-saving technology.

“Making a difference in the lives of people is and always has been my passion and life-long pursuit,” Speer said.

Thermography provides a physiological scan of the body and can detect higher levels of heat or inflammation that can be a lead indicator to help clients and doctors identify where additional testing may be required. “Risk assessment and disease prevention are key to providing quality health care,” Speer said. “It is our mission to ensure every province within Atlantic Canada has access to this cutting-edge technology – helping people make the invisible, visible.”

Kathryn Speer is currently the lone employee at the clinic, but she has established trusted partnerships with many respected doctors and technologists specializing in the field.

“We plan to continue our expansion in the Moncton area as well as our mobile clinics across Atlantic Canada.”
