Maria is a biologist with two Master’s degrees, one in environmental economics and thew other in sustainable development. She also has a Ph.D. in economics. She has worked for the private and public sectors in different initiaves, including the management of natural resources, the design of policies for rural development, the elaboration of Cost-Benefit analyses and Impact Evaluations for investment projects in different countries and she is now working as the Economic Analyst at 3plus, supporting the Southeast of New Brunswick with the evaluation of key indicators for economic development like total population, population growth, GDP, employment, housing prices, post-secondary enrollment, among others. Maria is passionate about using number and data to design policies and strategies that support communities in their goals to increase wellbeing and sustainability.
