Vicky Ouellette has no problem explaining the emotional attachment pet owners have for their beloved animals.
“Every pet is like a child for the owners,” she said. “They are our support and our best friend. They will always be waiting for you and will always be happy to see you.”
Ouellette is the caring and compassionate owner of Luv Paws Grooming, Bakery & Supplies in Riverview. The four-year-old company provides grooming for dogs and cats, a bakery for dogs and pet supplies for dog, cats, and small animals.
“Our philosophy is to make every dog’s and cat’s spa day as pleasant as possible,” Ouellette said. “We want everyone to leave happy and we take each dog as our own. The key to our success has been our kindness and making sure that our #1 priority is the dog and their well-being, while in our care.”
Luv Paws features a staff of four kind-hearted professionals, including a groomer who is also a licensed veterinary technician. “It is nice to know the person handling your pet is very knowledgeable,” Ouellette said.
Besides grooming, Luv Paws offers pet food, treats and supplies and self-serve bathtubs. The large variety of treats sold at the dog bakery are made with safe products that are human grade in terms of nourishment and taste. The store can also bake specialty birthday cakes for dogs.
Several grooming packages are available, including a pick-up and delivery service for owners who are pressed for time.
Luv Paws has been recognized by the Town of Riverview for its small business excellence. The Albert County Chamber of Commerce has also noted its outstanding dedication to community service. “In the future, we are hoping to expand and offer more services to help other dogs in need,” the owner said.
